A TIMELESS ARTFORM
Elaine Hansard is a self-taught sculptor from Bozeman, Montana. From a young age, her fascination with the beauty of nature and her draw toward the mysteries of the mythological have inspired her to create these subjects with her own hands in her own, unique style. Her work captures the vitality and timelessness of her subjects, combining lifelike detail with a touch of the mythical.
This timelessness is further encapsulated by her devotion to casting these sculptures in bronze. The commitment to subjecting these elegantly-detailed pieces of work to the arduous and time-intensive rigors of the lost-wax process is a statement in itself; that this is art which is worthy of conquering the ravages of time.
Bronze, with its long-respected and enduring qualities, perfectly reflects Elaine’s commitment to creating art that lasts both physically and emotionally. Her sculptures, found in numerous collections and public spaces, are a testament to the indelible power of the medium and the stories it can tell.
SCULPTURE
Having grown up in Bozeman, Montana and spending countless summers on the beaches of California and Oregon, the beauty and mystery of nature have been an ever-present influence on Elaine’s view of the world. This, combined with a unique upbringing which would introduce her to the depths and power of spirituality and mythology, have allowed her to explore and integrate a breadth of subject matter uncommon to most artists.
The effortless blending of anatomical accuracy with the effervescent and nearly-hypnotizing lines and textures of her animal wildlife and figurative goddesses showcase her innate ability to make tangible the seemingly intangible and imbue this seemingly inert metal with a life that speaks to the observer in a language which comes from somewhere far beyond the verbal.
These fine-art pieces make an ideal adornment for any private home or public venue, and add a touch of luxury to any space in which they inhabit. Whether placed indoors or installed as an outdoor feature, each work of art makes a powerful statement and will be sure to inspire a sense of awe and convey an aura of prestige.

BELT BUCKLES
The spirit of the west resonates deeply in Elaine’s work, originating from her upbringing in rural Montana. It is this unique perspective and life experience that led her to develop her sophisticated approach to that icon of the American West, the belt buckle.
Starting with the traditional iconography used on such pieces and expanding it exponentially, Elaine has created a truly robust collection where there is something for absolutely everyone. These exceptional pieces, cast in solid bronze, are striking fashion statements as well as heirlooms to be passed down through the generations.
With the current worldwide trend toward cowboy culture and western fashion, spurred by the success of the show Yellowstone and the release of Beyonce’s landmark country album ‘Cowboy Carter’, Elaine’s work is perfectly poised to embrace the newfound converts to this particular style with pieces that harken back to tradition while infusing them with a modern sensibility that gives this accessory a much-needed breath of fresh air.

THE PROCESS
Each work of art has been hand-sculpted in clay and then cast into bronze using the lost-wax method, a process that was developed in ancient China over 5000 years ago. This technique guarantees an heirloom quality for each individual piece which will survive to be passed down through the generations. Once the artwork has been sculpted in clay, it is delivered to the foundry where it undergoes multiple stages of transformation to produce the final bronze sculpture. Every stage of the process is expertly handled by individual artisans who are experts in their craft. Because of the many intricate steps involved, all pieces will be unique unto their own.
