PROCESS

Each work of art has been hand-sculpted in clay and then cast into bronze using the lost-wax method, a process that was developed in ancient China over 5000 years ago. This technique guarantees an heirloom quality for each individual piece which will survive to be passed down through the generations. Once the artwork has been sculpted in clay, it is delivered to the foundry where it undergoes multiple stages of transformation to produce the final bronze sculpture. Every stage of the process is expertly handled by individual artisans who are experts in their craft. Because of the many intricate steps involved, all pieces will vary slightly in size and coloring. This is something that I admire greatly, knowing that each piece will be unique unto its own.  This VIDEO documents the entire process from start to finish.
